Getting started

How does Printhaus work?

You upload your STL or 3MF file, choose your material, colour and quality, and check out. We print your model on one of our Bambu Lab P1S printers and post it to you, or to whoever you're sending it to. Orders are dispatched within 1–3 working days.

Do I need an account?

No. You can order as a guest, and track your order with its number and your email. A free account keeps your files in My prints so you can reorder without uploading again, and lets you order for delivery outside the UK.

Is there a subscription or monthly fee?

No. There are no plans or monthly fees. You pay per gram for each print, plus delivery. The minimum order is £2.50. See prices.

Orders and printing

What materials are available?

PLA, Silk PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA and TPU. PLA is the go-to for most prints. PETG and ABS suit parts that need to be tougher or cope with heat, and TPU is flexible. The colours we have loaded on the printers right now are shown when you order.

How is the price calculated?

From the weight of your print in grams, multiplied by the material's rate per gram. We work out the weight from your file and show the price before you pay.

What quality settings should I choose?

Standard (0.2 mm layers, 20% infill) is the best balance of quality and cost for most prints. Quality (0.1 mm, with supports) is for fine detail like figurines. Strong (40% infill) is for functional parts. Draft is the cheapest, for prototypes where the finish doesn't matter.

Can I order multiple copies?

Yes. Set the quantity on the order page. For large batches, email us first and we'll talk about pricing.

Can I cancel an order?

Yes, within 30 minutes of placing it, before we start printing. Once printing has started we can't cancel. If you need to change something urgently, email contact@printhaus.store as soon as possible.

How long does delivery take?

Orders placed on a working day before 3pm are dispatched within 1–3 working days. UK delivery after dispatch:

  • Standard (Royal Mail) — £3.00: 2–3 working days after dispatch
  • Next day — £3.49: 1 working day after dispatch

With an account you can also order for delivery abroad:

  • International (Evri) — £9.99: 4–8 working days after dispatch
  • Royal Mail International — £14.99: 5–10 working days after dispatch
  • UPS Express — £29.99: 2–4 working days after dispatch

Files and 3D models

What file formats do you accept?

STL and 3MF files up to 50 MB. 3MF files can carry colour data, which we use for multi-colour prints of up to 4 colours.

STL or 3MF: which should I upload?

Either works. 3MF is the better choice if your model has colour information or several parts. STL is fine for single-colour prints. See STL vs 3MF.

My model looks odd in the preview. Will it print okay?

The 3D preview is for reference and can look different from the final print. We check every file when you upload it, and we'll contact you before printing if we spot a problem.

Does my model need supports?

Overhangs steeper than about 45° usually need supports. The Quality setting adds them, or you can switch them on under Advanced. Simple objects usually don't need them.

What's the maximum print size?

Our Bambu Lab P1S printers print up to 256 × 256 × 256 mm. If your model is bigger, split it into parts, or scale it down on the order page.

Selling what you print

How do I price my items to make a profit?

Your profit is the difference between what you charge and what your prints cost. A simple starting point is our price × 2.5–3, to cover marketplace fees, packaging and your margin. The Etsy pricing guide goes into much more detail.
